Conway (UK). A new family of camera housings has been launched by the UK-based Conway Security Products, whose Managing Director declares that through their recent investment in a laser cutting cell and CNC machining centres they are now matching foreign competitors as regards price while staying flexible on customer requirements. The housings use CCD cameras with fixed or vari-focal lenses, are supplied with an energy-efficient screen demister and are simple to install thanks to a sliding camera tray giving engineers easy access for set-up and service. The range in made up by three models first: the C212, C212X and C212SS. The innovative C212X is equipped with a sliding sun visor to preserve image quality in case of direct sun exposure, e.g. applications for road and trackside monitoring. The latest C212SS is a stainless steel version to best meet the requirements of any sector where corrosion in an issue. All housings have cable entry via IP66 glands and are supplied with a mounting bracket allowing installation engineers to work rapidly and properly. This device is particularly appreciated for allowing the camera to look up, e.g. to ease applications in tunnels and underpasses. All products can be supplied in colours to meet environmental or corporate requirements.
