Hong Kong (CN). After the first experiment of DisneyWorld in Florida, now also Disneyland of Hong Kong uses biometric devices for fingerprint detection at the gates. The system is called Ticket Tag and is expected to be used only to facilitate ticket issue process: it stores 50 fingerprint points which are then mathematically processed by the system through a logarithm. The result is a rather simple code and – according to the company – no sophisticated archive protection is required because not all biometric points of the fingerprint have been stored. Ticket Tag is now operating in two revolving doors for all people holding year tickets, though it will be soon implemented in every door. Thanks to Ticket Tag year ticket holders do not have to show their identification documents. Moreover, they can also refuse to provide fingerprints. Disneyland Hong Kong is the youngest park of the chain. It covers 126 hectares and has its own IP net made up of 100 servers, VolP systems, RFID and Wi-Fi systems.
