MASSIVE ESSEN SHOPPING CENTRE AWARDS SECURITY CONTRACT
Essen (Germany). Limbecker Platz in Essen is becoming one of the largest city shopping centres in Germany with over 70,000 mq area and approximately 200 retailers and stores. Bosch Security Systems has been awarded the contract for providing communication engineering inside the centre. Bosch has the task of designing and installing security devices ranging from smoke detection and access control to emergency sound systems. Installation of 1200 fire detectors, over 30 video cameras and 1900 loudspeakers should guarantee the centre security.
This huge shopping centre, three and half floors of shops, should be fully completed in 2009 but even in 2008 the first phase of construction is expected to end. Bosch will be responsible for current distribution, emergency systems, lighting technology and lightning protection as well as for data technology.
